For a moment from my usual session images to share these pictures as a surprise to Ella's kindergarten teacher. Her teacher had a little day care crunch today so I gladly had her two year old little lady over for a couple hours so Mrs. S could stay teaching. I will also take this opportunity to thank Ella's teacher for being so good to her. Ella has on many occassions "confessed her love" for her teacher. As her mommy and the very first person she "fell in love with" and first female to highly influence her I momentarily felt slightly jealous, before I come to my senses and allowed myself to let go of her a bit. Now I am just tremendously grateful that Ella is spending a great majority of her days being influenced by such an awesome teacher. You know what makes her awesome??? (No to my friends who know I may have a heightened academic awareness it is not that she is a well trained experienced reading recovery teacher) It is because every day Ella comes home feeling good and feeling special. I would not want her to be anywhere else than where someone else sees her value as I do as her parent. So thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you Mrs S...and thank you to all teachers...seriously what you do and the influence you have and the gifts you bring to the table are tremendous and all to often overlooked.
Here is your surprise...
We did just play too. I love how normal household things create color in photos...in this case toys.
Bye for now.....

Those are beautiful pictures! Any hints on how you you took them? She is a gorgeous little girl.

Thanks Amber, I took them in the front entry way of my house in front of my stairway. I just looked for the best light in my house at that time of day. I set my camera manually so that I have ultimate control over what my images look like...not the camera.

What camera settings do you use most often? Also, how was it meeting Audrey Woulard? That must have been amazing. I've been checking her blog for awhile now. What words of advice did she give? Thanks, and take care.
