Out of office until Monday....

I will be out of town/state on an unexpected trip for the next several days.  I wil respond to emails and such upon my return.  Just a little pic from last weekend to last through the days I am away...I totally have a little love affair going on with these old metal lawn chairs.  Does anybody have any they would like to sell me???

9 Month Old Home Session....Fargo Baby Photographer

There is just something about a home session with baby, especially when they have a white bed, tons of natural light, and awesome decor to deal with.  The you add a splash of Mr. adorable personality and you get one pretty cool totally unique to you session.

First off, here is one of my favorite images from the session taken when we were almost all done.  It is not so much a portrait as just a cool shot...

 

I made my way into one of those cool shots...this is my first appearance on this blog:)

 

 

He had an adorable room and his mommy is an interior decorator.  She literally got out her nail and hammer to put that name up on the oposite wall of his room where the light was better.

 

 

 

 

The cool thing about home sessions is that the portraits automatically match your space.  The images from his baby room go perfectly in there and this image will match their living room.  They had these modern grey chairs with gray and yellow pillows so I asked if she had anything yellow to put him in as it would match their space and is a unique color combination.  She had a yellow cloth diaper and actually knew how to put one of those things on with pins and the whole business.  Now they will have perfectly matching picture for their decor...

2 Year Old "J"....Fargo Child Photographer

I know I have mentioned that the word on the street is that 2 year olds are a tough age to photograph so I think that I must get the easiest two year olds around.  That just has not been my experience.  I will say though that children between 1 and 2 always seem more comfortable in a park location vs urban setting.

This little guy was as sweet as sweet can be and I think that oozes out of his pics....

 

There is for sure alot of this going on at a 2 year old photo session...

First Pelican Rapids Session....Fargo Teen Photographer

Although I do not usually shoot a ton of seniors which is totally OK with me as my true love is of small children a few seniors thrown in there for good measure is fun.  This session happened to be in Pelican Rapids and she happens to be a Pelican Rapids senior.  She was pretty much down for anything (OK at one point she did say no that is silly I am not doing that)...she really was a great sport though.  Oh and her momma...I laughed almost the whole time.  She was a very funny lady.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh to be teenager again...senior year...ready to head off to college.  Those are some crazy good times....

Fargo Child Photographer....All The Single Ladies...

Look out in about 15 years...(can I digress briefly here.  You know Beyonce's song "All The Single Ladies"...well the very first time she says that in the song it sounds to me like "Singlets"  which then gets my mind thinking about wrestler running around in their singlets and funny ear protectors...listen for it next time and see what you think..such a nerd I am) 

Back to this guy...look out in 15 years ladies because this little guy is going to be about the most handsome fella on the block.  Can you believe he is only 5!!  Yup, that's right.  I am not lying...5!  Totally gorgeous!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not only was he handsome..but a boys boy with a love of sports.  He really was not very thrilled with changing out of his Jersey and into the tie, but that tie you have to admit was adorable. 

 

Ahh...my favorite type of Bokeh...the little circle thingies:)  They just make me happy.

Hey "J"  it was super fun spending the evening with you.  I have now recovered from you beating me at every game I gave you.  Take care of that very nice mama of yours.

Fargo Children's Photographer | 3 year old blondie

This is the second time that I have photographed little "M" and I was super excited.  Her coloring reminds me of my Josie so I have such a soft spot for her. 

 

 

As you can she was full of personality.  She brought along her daddy to help bring out that spunk in her.  They had a bunch of cute little phrases they used with each other.  She is obviously a lucky little girl....

 

Just in case you are wondering...her mommy bought her hat off of Etsy...a on line place to find tons of handmade goods.  This is also where I buy most of the hats that I have for pictures....People always ask me about where to get those hats and that is the best place.  A lot of the vendors will even customize the colors for you so if you know your colors for your session will be orange and navy...you can get an orange and navy hat made.  It is pretty cool!

 

 

 

 

 

She is so fun....and hung in there for the duration seemingly having fun the whole time...and that is how I like it!

 

I have one more session to post from my 3 sessions in a day marathon at the end of June...and for those waiting on galleries,  I am currently editing ones from my vacation week and promise I am working as fast as I can.

Fargo Children's Photographer......

 

So ocassionally a mama will say, "I want a sneak peak"...and since most sessions I do the gallery comes before the blog a true sneak peak is rare,  I thought I would get-her-done on this one...

 

 

How fun to do a true sneak peak.  They wanted just "one" good one for a family pic....there are more, but this is just one...

 

To be honest though, my true love is the individual....like the family...love the personality of an individual....

Fargo Newborn Photography | Yet another newborn baby boy...

They come in batches and I am so glad because I am completely in love with shooting these fresh little people.  They are quickly becoming my favs...along with 4 year olds.  He had a beautiful big sister who patiently waited for her turn in front of the camera.

I just could not resist taking one of her..she has a great smile and was so eager to participate...

 

This session was on a marathon day of shooting. I did 3 sessions that day before I left for vacation and I was very exhausted by the end...

Another Farm Session.....Fargo Children's Photographer

On a windy windy overcast day...The wind that day was just crazy, but the kids were adorable.  4, 2, and another newborn.   So of course you want a picture of all those siblings together right?  But what if the two year old does not agree???  Patience is a virtue in that situation:)

Here is one of our attempts...I still kinda like it though...

 

He eventually gave us about a nanosecond of togetherness in each of the outfits for these images..

 

 

Big sister at 4 was more willing to go along with holding and loving up baby...

 

But the little guy was a rock star for some individual shots and gave me my two favorite images from the day...

 

She had a funny face picture too....

His momma begged the little guy to take off those John Deere boots, but he and I both agreed that they should stay.

 

Farms always have little treasures....this one had a whimsical swing...

 

We eventually went back inside for some newborn shots.  I am thinking that little newborn was pretty happy to get out of the whipping wind.  I had planned on trying to do some newborn outside and get a little more creative, but the weather was not going to allow that.

I love newborn belly buttons and showcasing them in photographs...
