First Day Of First Grade.....Quad Cities Photographer

Today Ella started her first day of 1st grade in Bettendorf Iowa which is a part of the Quad Cities.....

In just a couple weeks our entire family (excluding my poor kitty who has to stay behind until we move into our new house) will make the final move and we will become official residents of Iowa state....

My husband accepted a transfer position within John Deere and he insists on bringing the girls and I with.

I will probably have lots to share on the details of all this, but tonight I am just too tired to spell it all out.

The most important thing I wanted to say though is that I will continue to due Fargo sessions when I am home. I expect that I will spend about 6 weeks here next summer and I will also be coming back for many visits. My parents as well as Steve's parents live in West Fargo...plus all our wonderful friends...so we will be making the trip often...

Thanks so much from all my clients who have already heard through the grapevine and sent such nice comments and emails....

One of the Best Things....Fargo Children's Photographer

Is at the end of a session the little child reaches out to hold my hand and wants me to carry them back to the car. That is a great feeling and makes me feel so happy to do what I am doing. My favorite thing of all with this whole photo taking business is the sessions. I have so much fun playing with your kids....I totally get a rush. Thank you so much for sharing just a little bit of your babies with me.

These twins were super fun. She was one of those munchkins who reached for me at the end....::::sigh:::: that just totally melts me.

So I was telling the mama that I love and enjoy playful full of personality pictures but there is just still something about me that still wants them to be on the backdrop of one good both looking at the camera pics...I just can not seem to get over that....

So here are a few backdrop together twin photos...

Some individuals...it was really windy that day which can work against you, especially with a little girls hair....I like it in this pic though....

Playing Catch up....Fargo Little Girl Photographer

So I decided to play a little catch up and post three sessions in one and realized I have shot a lot of little girls lately. Here are three sessions of three different princesses....

First off the 18 month old one tooth wonder. Which my pediatrician has told me is totally normal as my Josie is a late tooth bloomer too...

My favorite from the day...

Doesn't she have just yummy lips....

And yummy curly hair...

And another toddler...last time I shot this one she was totally a baby and now officially a toddler. It is crazy how fast they grow...

That is her favorite cookie monster doll....

Toddler curiosity.....It fades so quickly. And because I have a 6 year old I know it quickly becomes more like "I know it all" Darn it:(

And oh baby oh baby she had such a huge smile either this one.....

It is hard to believe that she gave me either two feels...big huge smiles...or crying...we think she may have been a tad bit hungry during the session, but you would never know from her gallery....

Wow...I am off now for the weekend. I am getting to emails as quickly as possible. I will be getting to all of them eventually.

It is so hard to wait....Fargo Children's Photographer

I know and I totally get it. It is hard to wait for those pictures of your beautiful babies. I totally want you to know that I do not take the task of getting your galleries to you lightly. In fact I work very hard to get them done as fast as I can (my hubs is mad at me right now for working and not coming to bed like a normal person). Right now I am getting galleries out between 14 and 17 days after the fact which in my mind is not fast enough, but it is the reality of it. I am quickly learning that my inability to say "no" is both a bad and good thing. More people get their pictures taken, but it takes a little more time to see the galleries and get your pics. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I want to get them to you as fast as possible and really do work very hard to get them done and still give you quality images.

Ok, that being said, hear is a true tiny mini sneak peak of just a couple that I edited today for one special mama who is patiently waiting for her gallery. Thanks for being so understanding of our reschedule due to a sick Josie. Your girls are always amazing!!!

I am totally in love with concrete...to me it is like a white background...just simple and clean and all about the most important subject...the child!

Just a little something to wet your whistle...

Wanna go on a trip? Fargo Child Photographer

"Sure," they said and they came right to me in Pelican Rapids on a weekend. Seriously where do all these super nice people come from. Thanks so much for coming all the way and showing me your little one year old peanut who by the way had the longest one year old skinny legs. You will see them below. They happened to come on a weekend that was a festival in Pelican which neither of us knew about so it was a very busy town with lots of distractions for this little one. We finally drove out to a small golf course at the end to help remove all the distracting attractions.
