Yesterday was an amazing gorgeous day here in the Quad Cities. It was over 74 degrees not a cloud in the sky and virtually no wind. With my hubby back in Fargo shooting at helpless deer I was able to spend the whole day centered around 1 thing....to finally get some pictures of my own girls on an ideal day.
So to be honest the first part of the day was a little stressful. My girls were awesome....I was the one who was loony tunes. I am always telling people to relax and have fun with pictures and then it comes to myself and I found myself getting all "worked up" Bath time, hair time, clothes time, and a quick trip to target all had to happen before we could actually take the pics and by the time we finally got to where we were going to go it was already almost 10:30. Thank goodness my girls had fallen for my bribery of a movie (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and the word yes to anything they wanted that day. They were totally willing to participate.
Sunshine, warm, calm, and cooperation.....yesterday was my lucky day!
I have a ton more to edit from their session including a bunch from the gorgeous Vandaveer Park in Davenport where the light was gorgeous and the leaves were bright yellow and as big as Frisbees, but for now I had to limit my own editing as I still have ton of client editing to do.
I bought this black letter "E" to go in Ella's room at Funky Junk in during my trip back to Fargo. That store is my very fav!! You have to go if you have not been there. This picture is going to go in her room.
This side by side is to show their outfits. I started with Josie's dress as the starting point for inspiration for a color palette and went from there. Josie got her dress from a shop on Etsy and her jeans from the Gap. Ella got her orange polk a dot shirt from JCrew's kid's store crewcuts, her sweater from the Gap, her hat from Old Navy, her uniform skirt from the Gap, her argyle knee high socks from Target (last year), and her pink boots from Target.
After our movie we were driving home and the afternoon light was just so pretty I stopped on the side of the road to take just a couple more.
Bye for now.....Susie
